Jo Goss underwent intensive hypnotherapy training at the Washington School of Clinical and Advanced Hypnosis (Scotland), where she qualified as an Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Certified NLP Practitioner. She has since undertaken further study to qualify as a Master NLP Practitioner. She holds the nationally accredited Hypnotherapy Practitioner Diploma, and has also attained Specialist Certification in Anxiety, Depression, Ericksonian Hypnosis, Smoking Cessation and Trauma. She is a Member of both the Hypnotherapy Association (HA) and the National Society of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy (NSHP). Members of both organisations are bound by strict Codes of Ethics and Conduct.

For three years Jo held the position of Research Director with the National Council for Hypnotherapy (NCH). In 2005 she was awarded the NCH Researcher of the Year Award for her research into the use of hypnosis with dystonia.

Jo has qualified as a Certified Hypnotherapy Instructor through the National Guild of Hypnotists (USA). She is also qualified as an Accredited Hypnotherapy Supervisor through the NCH.

Jo holds consultations in Hopeman, and in addition she offers home visits for the housebound. Her practice attracts clients from throughout Scotland.
